Acronym for "Electronic Air Control Valve", a valve used in fuel-injection system, usually computer controlled, that controls the amount of air bypassing the throttle during idle. So, directly, this controls the idle speed of the engine by allowing some air to bypass the throttle plate when it's closed. Indirectly, the ECU controls the idle speed by controlling the EACV.
