Hi there,
Really appreciate the fact that someone has dedicated a web-site to the memory of Orange County International Raceway. I might have never been to the USA let alone OCIR, but believe me if ever there was a mecca to drag racing when I was a kid, Orange County was it. Forget Indy, forget Bakersfield, forget even Lions (Lions was just closing when I picked up my first American drag racing magazine)... OCIR stood out as THE place for drag racing - it was the coolest, it was the modernist and it was criminal when they shut it down...

So even if the closest I ever got to a night at OCIR was by drooling over my drag racing magazines I think it says something that even from half way round the world, Orange County was - and always shall be - the epitome of American drag racing...
