We already had plans to attend Rosser Round Up in Tennesse, but unfortunatelly we couldnt make it. But the weekend was not wasted sitting around the house. We recently joined a 4wd club called ELKHORN RIDGE RUNNERS and they had a run in Halsey Nebraska. At first I was not expecting much from a place in Nebraska, but as it turns out it was ALOT BETTER than I expected. The whole park is set aside for all sorts of offroad fun, from dirt bikes to trucks. The place is like 3 hours from Norfolk (home)and it is in the sand hills. There was almost no mud but the sand made for some different kind of driving. This is where I came to apreciate airing down my TSLs.

This was taken up at the beginning of the trails. The park was full so we had to find somewhere else to camp. I liked it better up there, sure we had to drive the ladies down 1.5 miles to use the facilities and to shower, but other than that it was actually better. We were alone at night which ment we could get wild and stuff like that (not like we did or anything :)

As you can see some of the sand was very loose which made driving different. I like to power up things, but this sand forced me to use some different tactics... FOOT TO THE FLOOR!!!!

As we were diving on some dirt roads on our way to a different trail my brother decided to take this pic. It actually turned out really cool. He was hanging out the window to get this shot. If you can figure it out, thats the wifes 4Runner in the background.

This pic was taken at the top of a big sand hill. Some of us made it up the sand, others had to find a more suitable way.

We are hoping to return to halsey soon. We had a few days of fun and I defenetly recomend HALSEY to you if you live in Nebraska. Laters 4 now.
