What is Minox Madness? It's an affliction that strikes photographers all over the world. People who own and use a Minox subminiature camera become obsessed with its small size, precision handmade craftsmanship, versatility, and best of all, the quality pictures the Minox camera produces. Many owners can't stop at just one Minox, they find they must have two, three, or more of these amazing cameras. It is so small, yet so easy to use, many people carry one with them everywhere they go. The Minox was invented by Walter Zapp and he started production in Riga, Latvia in the late 1930's. Often called a "spy camera", the Minox wasn't designed as such, but has been used for espionage of all kinds for over the past 60 years. Except for a brief interruption during World War II, the camera has been manufactured continuously to this day, and film, supplies, and accessories are still available from major camera stores and internet sites.
