  The Elite was the first closed passenger car offered by Lotus.
It was technologically advanced using a glass- fiber monocoque chassis made of eight box sections.
It has a Drag Coefficient of 0.29 Cd, which is better than most any current road car !
  Production totaled 280 units of the Series 1 car, and 749 units of the Series 2 cars.
