This is the T-shirt logo for the event.

Are we there yet??? Are we there yet???

This pics were taken 20 hours into the trip in the COLORADO mountains.... ONLY TEN MORE HOURS TO GO.....

In this pic we had just arrived to the AKAKALILKILKI (how many AKALAIAKALIKS does it take to get to the trails) campground. With a busted U-JOINT may I add. No problem right, we came prepared. We stopped in BARSTOW at an auto parts store to get the U-joint cuz I knew they were going bad ( BIGTIME VIBRATION ). We bought two more so we could repair the broken one and have a spare just in case. We made it to GORMAN, I got under the 4runner, slapped some wrenches around, (almost knoked my self out cuz my wrench slipped and I smacked my self on the forehead *&%%#$^%^&^ [and Im not kidding either]) and took out the rear shaft. I pulled out the BUSTED, DRIED, joint........... Took the new one out of the box and I discovered *%@%^*#@%$ THEY DIDN'T FIT!!!!!!!! The lady in BARSTOW gave me the wrong one..... NO! NOT ONE! I BOUGHT TWO!!!! so I would have a spare!!!!!!!!!! Then that means that I had two :).... THAT DIDN'T FIT!!!!(*)&#^%@#_)(*@!!!!!! At this point I would like to thank RON NISSLEY for being a good guy and driving me all the way to BAKERSFIELD (90 miles round trip) to get a DANG U-joint. THANX A MILLION RON!!!! Thanx to RON we were able to repair it and be ready for the trail the next day... It would have been a shame to drive all the way from NEBRASKA and not be able to drive the trails..... :)

On our way ther we hit some tentalizing water holes.... Can you tell?? Well... To be honest... We were just out of LAS VEGAS and came to realize that we werent gonna find GAS PRICES like we have in NEBRASKA,,, So we turnned around to get some gas, taking the scenic route. (THE DITCH). :)

The first day at the line up..... All rested up and ready to go.....(thanx to RON N.) HHEEEYYYY there is the guy with the CHEESY SUN VISOR!!!!! (Just kiddin SHANE)

This was the first rough spot on the trail. Thankfully we had just installed our rear EZ LOCKER. I clearly remembered telling my husband "This Jamboree is for stock 4RUNNERS? What do we need those for?" BOY WAS I WRONG.... My question was answered at this point in the trail. We didnt BANG UP our four runner up the obstacle as much as the guys with open differentials. Some of them busted Rearends, front ends, tires, running boards and God knows what. All of that would have been avoided by being prepared with at least one locker......I think.....

This is the second major obstacle on the trail. Here we, BANGED, SCRATCHED, SCRAPED our 4RUNNER. Dont get me wrong, I came prepared for some damage, but the noises I heard coming from the underneath were painfull. Stock 4RUNNERs can do this, YEAHHH RIGHT!!!!. We have 33's and a 4" Suspension lift, I would have hated to be on a stock one.... CONGRATS TO ALL THOSE STOCKERS THAT MADE IT THROUGH......

RRRRRIIINNNNGGGGGG!!!!! Just like at recess, as soon as we were done with the trail, and made it to the AKALAIKALIAKL (whatever) campground. Some of us hit the STEPS and the ROCK GARDEN. Which were all funn....

this were taken on SUNDAY, it was just 5 of us, driving trough what I think was called DRINKWATER FLATS. I found out that there was only going to be the SATURDAY run. SSOOOOO I told FRANK that we didnt drive all the way from NEBRASKA for just one day, so we kinda got a personal guide tour......... :)
