A trip to Sipi-hole & Lake Road

This page might take a while to load but the pics are worth the wait.

We just lifted both of our trucks 3" with body lifts so we decided to go to the swampies & wetest places close to home. Sipi-hole is a very minimum maintenance road like 20 miles from home. The bad part of going into this swampy road that is the lenght of 2 1/2 or 3 football fields long is.... You have to turn arround and come back the same way because it is a dead end road. The water in this road is pretty deep in some spots and the ruts that have been left by bigger trucks & tractors are good enough to swallow my new 35 thornbirds. We drove trought it several times so we could get plenty of good pics. My husband drove in front of me while Jeff took pictures from the back of the GMC. Then we would do it again with me driving in front... You can see the pics of my husbands GMC on his page.

This pics were taken on our way to sipi-hole. As you can see we had fun just getting there.

This next pictures were taken at Lake Road, which is like 12 miles from home the complete opposite way from Sipi-hole. This is the Top Unpasable road. It is a road that got swallowed by a small lake. It seems that it is always full. Certain times it might get shallower with the evaporation but.... it is still pretty full. We have only seen one truck actually make it across. It was a 70s' Ford. We have heard of other people making it and others loosin complete trucks in the swamp. This pics are at the entrance of Lake Road which is a small dip u have to go trough to go over a small hill to get to the actual road which is only a few yards away. I dont think Ill ever drive my 4Runner trough this road, unless...... It goes down loke 4 feet. So far it hasnt happened.

Thats all Folks! Till next time....
