A PIECE OF CANADIAN HISTORY
Here is my latest restoration, a 1967 Pontiac Beaumont Custom. But first a little history.
The Pontiac Beaumont was built for sale in Canada only. It was built in Oshawa Ontario. Production began in 1962 and ceased in at the end of 1969. This seven year run produced a Canadian Built Classic.
They became the cousins of the Nova and later years, became cousins to the Chevelle using only a Chevrolet power train.
My particular Beaumont came equipped with the following options.
- Beumont Custom V8 (VIN code 736)
- Two door coupe (VIN code 17)
- Exterior trim - Marina Blue (Trim code F)
- Interior trim - Med bright blue vinyl (Trim code 731)
- Front bucket seats (RPO code A51)
- Vinyl Top (RPO code C08)
- Vinyl Top colour - black (Trim code TOP27)
- Floor mounted consol (RPO code D55)
- Powerglide Transmission (RPO code M35)
