The First Factory Lowrider

This is what they looked like when they rolled out of the factory.

The Low rider was the beginning of the Factory Custom bikes, low drag type handlebars, two into one pipes and the low profile of the bike made it an instant success.

They had the Big Twin Shovel 1200 engine, which is a little different from the Evo Sportster 1200

The longer stroke makes for a whole lot more piston speed per RPM , which is a lot harder on the lower end. Every time Teri says she has the same size engine, I get to tell her that mine is 3 tenths of a cubic inch bigger. Even though her Sportster will out run me, I just tell her it's because mine weighs about 200 lbs. more than hers, otherwise I'd be able to easily whip her. (I've gotta tell her something!) If she gets too cocky I threaten to get the X-R out.
