"Family Sized Sports Car"



The 1962 Buick Wildcat, the Wildcat Sport Coupe, was the first production model ever offered. It was built on the Invicta platform and was equipped with a 401 cubic inch engine rated at 325 horsepower. Bucket seats, tachometer and rear floor lamp were standard features. The rear axle ratio was 3.42:1 and a 4.45:1 was available as an option. Only about 2,000 of these cars were built.
