1965 was the first year the Wildcat was built on the LeSabre platform. There were 3 versions of the Wildcat, the base Wildcat, the Deluxe and the Custom. Buick offered 2 different engines for the Wildcat. The 401 cubic inch engine was standard. It had 10.25:1 compression and made 325 horsepower. The other engine was the 425 cubic inch motor. The 425 was rated at 340 horsepower.
