1966

1966 offered basically 2 different Wildcats. One was the 401 powered car and the other was the 425 powered car. The 425, rated at 360 hp, went with the Wildcat Custom and the Wildcat GS.

The 425 engine was called the Wildcat 465, with the 465 indicating the engine's torque rating.

The Wildcat Grand Sport Performance Group consisted of the high-performance 425 cubic inch engine with a single 4-barrel carburetor, a chrome-plated air cleaner, cat aluminum rocker arm covers, dual exhaust, heavy-duty suspension, quick ration steering box, Posi-Traction 3.42 rear end and 8.45x15 inch whitewall tires.

For real performance enthusiasts there was an even better option, the Y48.

The Y48 Wildcat was rated 20 horsepower higher than the single 4-barrel 425 engine, making 380 horsepower.
