In 1968 the Wildcat got a new grille and revised body side moldings. Simulated air vents continued on front fenders. Narrow lower body side highlights and wheelhouse moldings were used to make a full-length bright lower strip. Wildcat lettering was found on the rear fenders, on the deck lid and on the instrument panel. An outside rear view mirror and back-up lamps were additional standard equipment inherited from the lower-priced Buicks. Interiors were cloth and vinyl, with all-vinyl optional. Bucket seats upholstered in vinyl were a two-door hardtop option. VIN numbers for a Wildcat begin 464xx. The 430 cubic inch engine was rated at 360 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque with 10.25:1 compression.
