K&N conical airfilter
w/modified intake
If you want a cheap horse power mod, this is one. In my 4.0L, I did feel a difference. And the new sound is AWESOME!! When I get on it, it ROARS!!Here are a few pictures of my set up. Real easy to make.
All I did was buy some thin sheet metal. I found the stuff I needed at Home Depot. It is used for air ducting. Since the i.d. of the new air filter was larger then the i.d. of the factory tube, I needed an adaptor.
This is were the sheet metal comes in. I rolled the sheet metal into a cone shape and sealed the seam with epoxy. Then trimmed the ends so they were even and would fit. I did have to drill two large holes for the factory air fittings.
