I wanted to lift my ZJ a few inches to add some more ground clearance. Having a longer wheel base then TJ's is some what of a disadvantage. Chet, from Grand Cherokee Connection had an Old Man Emu 1" lift sitting around. The lift was only used a short time, about 2 months. I believe this is the same lift he used in his article. I also ordered the Teraflex "Budget Boost" which will add 1.5" to the OME lift...a total of 2.5"....but wait, there is more. After reading about the spacers, I learned that they are designed to replace the stock/factory .5" spacers. If you leave the stock spacers in, you will have a grand total of 3", just what I wanted. Money permitting, I can add 31" tires soon.
The install went fairly well, took a total of about ten hours. I did the rear first and did the front the next afternoon. The install is fairly straight forward. I also, added the Tera rear trackbar relocation bracket and had to drill a new hole for the front.
After the lift, I had a little bit of the "death wobble". The front end alignment eliminated most of it.
On to the pictures...

I didn't have time to take any after
pictures due to the time. I finished the rear around 2am and I was extremely
tired. I did the lift at my dad's house and still needed to drive home
an hour.
