Marcus from the RCMT Bulletin Board brought up a good point about steering servos. A servo with 100 oz./" of torque will greatly reduce bumpsteer. This is when you land from a jump and have to correct your trucks direction, because the tires turned a little from a weak servo, or if you hit a rock, and the tires turn. Example rock hits front left tire, and it jerks you truck left. With high torque servos this is reduced greatly. I run a S9304 it only has 69 oz./" I'm upgrading to 100 oz./" or greater. Thanks Marcus!

My next investment will be a couple 10-cell packs, and Super Rooster ESC. Also modified motors.

I want to bring up a important topic. Gear boxes. And I'll assume everyone is using ball bearings, if not go buy them. It's very important that once you have all your gears in place, and you tighten the two halfs of the gear case down that there's no binding. The gears sould spin with no no effort. They should keep spinning after you give them a good fast turn @ the out puts where the dog bones go. If not disassemble the gear box, and check for rubbing, and spacing of the gears. You will get alot more power, and speed from you taking extra time on the gear boxes. Also increased run times.

Sassy Chassis USA-1 with extended aluminum lower A-arms, and Outdrive slider kit

Cantilever Suspension Extended A Arms The Outdrives

The cantilever set-up. Allows you to make fine adjustments to suspension travel, by moving the mounting location on the lower a-arm. Sense the rods mount to the lower a-arm it takes the spring load off the weak upper suspension rods that connect to the hub carriers. As I'm talking about it they are the first rods I replaced with titanium ones.

Steve (my CNC programer), and I are making Outdrives that are sold through Sassy Chassis. They use Stampede half shafts, and fit the stock gear type diffs. Also we are making aluminum extended lower a-arms that widen your USA-1 to 16 1/4"!!! They also increase your minimum ground clearance to 3 1/2"!! Lets see a Clod beat that! We are also working on a redesigned upper suspension arm that will use a 6-32 turnbuckle, and Kyosho 6.8mm ball ends. This will add the extra strength need for the added width.

My interests:R/C Monster Trucks / 64-72 Classic Chevy Trucks, Blazers, and Suburbans.

I have a 72 2wd Blazer. My wife has a 66 Chevy Longbox. It's has a 350hp 327, 350 turbo tran, shift kit, stall converter, 4:11 gears, line lock, and is slammed.
69-72 2wd Blazers are very rare. I've found that 64-66 2wd Chevy panel trucks are rarer still.
