Cleveland Transit News Update : 15th
February 2001
(Update contains information that has not been verified with the operator - and may need to be corrected subsequently)
Latest allocation sheet shows:
Atlantean 118 (EJR 118W) from Stockton to Darlington.
Fleetlines 140 (JAJ 140W), 153 (VEF 153Y) and 157 (YAJ 157Y) restored from 'awaiting disposal' to 'reserve' at Darlington.
Dominator 219 (C219 WAJ) from Darlington to Hull.
Dominators 220-2 (C220-2 WAJ) from Stockton to Hull.
Olympians 941/4-6 (C662/52/8/61 LFT) from Hull to Stockton.
B10M 2259 (P315 EFL) from Busways to Hull (loan).
B10M coach 80 (P180 PRH) temporary delicensed as a result of accident damage at Hull.
It is also clear that the Hull fleet is being prepared for transfer to East Midland, but that the timing of this is dependent on East Midland getting the necessary variation to its Operator's Licence.
Increasing evidence of integration of the remaining Transit fleet with Busways comes in the fact that Transit vehciles have been visiting Byker on a regular basis for PSV testing since January and that Hartlepool coach 32 (J422 HDS) has been on loan to Busways and used on Flightlink duties.
We have been informed from a reliable source that the first Transit vehicle to receive the new corporate livery is now in Stockton paintshops. It is reported to be Darlington's B10M coach 83 (R83 SEF) - but this is subject to confirmation. Is this the first coach treated in the group?
